carlsbad flower fields

My moms visit included both her birthday & Easter Sunday.  After a full day on Catalina Island for her birthday, we made Easter Sunday a bit more relaxed and slept in before going to a later service at church.  Afterward we had lunch and then headed to the Carlsbad Flower Fields.  It was a beautiful day, and the fields are near the ocean so there was a cool breeze coming in and it didn’t get too hot.  The flowers they grow there are called Ranunculus, and I made sure to purchase a bag of bulbs to bring home and try to grow.  I gave my mom one as well so hopefully we will both be successful in our flower endeavor!

After getting home, we prepared an adorable Easter dinner that we planned from Pinterest finds.  We made deviled eggs that were chicks hatching from the eggs, and bunny bread bowls for broccoli cheddar soup.  It was the cutest dinner I’ve ever had and it all tasted great.
