For my birthday this year I took a weekend trip to Phoenix, Arizona. A few years ago I went down Route 66 into Arizona and really enjoyed it so wanted to explore some more of the state this time.
First off, no surprise but Arizona roads are amazing. Minimal pot holes, compared to California where you’re falling into a pothole or avoiding one every 10 seconds. This was my first road trip with my new car, so I appreciated the roads. Also I was driving around during commute times and there was like 1 minute of traffic…haha, unbelievable!
I went to the Desert Botanical Garden, Goldfield Ghost Town, Superstition Mountains, & Papago Park. There are more places I’m going to go back for another time. The main points of interest for me were the botanical garden & the ghost town. I love the ghost towns, they are so fun.
